What is SPH English Program?
SPH’s English language programs are designed to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in an English-medium, international academic environment. Whether students are preparing for the IB pathway or simply strengthening their foundational English, both programs aim to build confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Who This Program is Made for?
The English Programme at SPH Sentul City is designed for students who need support in developing their English skills to succeed in our English-medium environment. It consists of two tracks:
→ English Academy is made for beginners or early English learners who are not yet ready for the mainstream curriculum. Students receive full-time, intensive English instruction in a smaller setting to build a strong foundation in vocabulary, communication, and academic language.
→ English Plus+ is made for students who are placed in the mainstream curriculum but have limited English proficiency. This program is conducted after school to strengthen their English for academic and social success.
Both tracks aim to help students become confident, independent learners who can thrive in all areas of school life.

SPH English Academy
The English Academy is an intensive, content-based program focused on preparing students for the demands of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and beyond. It emphasizes academic English skills—such as analytical writing, critical reading, and formal speaking—necessary for success in the MYP, DP, or other academic tracks. The program is ideal for students who aim to pursue the full IB Diploma or selected DP courses.

SPH English Plus+ Program
English Plus supports students who need to strengthen their English skills to fully engage in SPH's English-speaking learning environment. It offers structured support to help students build language confidence, think critically, and communicate effectively. The program also helps new or transitioning students integrate smoothly into the school community, both academically and socially
✓ Grade Level: 7-10 (open to student from all schools)
✓ Duration: Twice a week (@90 minutes) for at least 1 year

→ Registration Fee: Rp200,000
→ Program Fee: Rp1,500,000/month
✓ Program Pathways: This program is available in 6 phases. Upon joining the program, we will hold a placement test to assess your child’s initial English proficiency. Then, we will recommend the level your child can start with. We have 6 phases available to support different skill areas of English proficiency:
→ Phase 1-2: Beginner (Basic communication)
→ Phase 3-4: Intermediate (Oral and written skills)
→ Phase 5-6: Advanced (Near-native fluency, able to engage with academic texts)

On-Campus Activities & Facilities
Our dormitory is not just a place to stay but also a home to excel and gain life skills that will serve a good purpose as students move into university life and beyond. The facilities are not just limited to the dorm; the extended facilities at school add to an overall experience for every dorm student.
Devotions and Family Nights: Students participate in devotions once every week. Divided into small groups and led by the dorm supervisors, students share about their lives and their faith journeys. Every Wednesday is Family Night, where everyone comes together for a special dinner, group fellowship, and fun games.
English Tutoring Sessions: As some students have limited proficiency in the English language, we provide additional English support for PHH residents, which helps them adjust to an English-speaking environment.
24/7 Healthcare Support: We also provide an on-campus nurse and essential medical assistance for all dormitory students. Yet if a more severe matter arises, the nurse will be alert and call for hospital intervention.
Healthy and Nutritious Diet: We acknowledge that every teenager needs healthy, nutritious, and delicious food to support their active lives. It provides three meals daily and accommodates allergies and dietary needs.
Safe and secure environment: Our security team ensures the safety and security of the dormitory and campus 24/7. They monitor all access to community members and approved guests.
